two dreams

I had two very unsettling dreams last night.  In the first, my mom and my dad were arguing, as usual.  My sister was about 19 in the dream, fragile from her nervous breakdown at Columbia.  I knew I had to take care of her, to take her away from this.

My dad got in the car and for some reason was driving, even though he was on the right side (? European car?) and I was sitting next to him.  My dad flooded the gas pedal and the car surged forward, just as the garage door was lowering on the car.  There was a horrible thump.  I screamed, because the garage door had crushed my sister, whose bloodied body lay on the windshield.

In the second dream, my dad and I were still in the car, but it didn’t have anything to do with the first dream.  My dad said something about going to Atlanta, which really freaked me out because I knew he was dead.  Something was terribly wrong here. I screamed, “But you’re dead!” and he said, “But I’m back.”

I woke myself up saying, “No, no, no” repeatedly.  I was still shaking.
